EW: I wanted to be Stanley Kubrick or David Lynch, to just make art. We would always joke around, but we didn’t realize till after college that we could do comedy. It was never my goal. Growing up in Philly, comedy’s not even a real thing. Back then it wasn’t an outlet. In school we wanted to make comedies, but they were like, nah, make a serious documentary. That wasn’t even encouraged.
