Seven Pounds is so bad, not even Will Smith can save it.
Mystery man: Will Smith's annoyingly ambiguous character is just one problem in Seven Pounds.
In critical shorthand, the term "manipulative" has a pejorative connotation that isn't exactly fair. After all, skilled filmmakers know how to push our buttons--they understand when to withhold information and when to reveal it. Bad movies are often described as "manipulative," when really they're just jerking us around.

“Sean Burns could not be more wrong about this film. His criticism is so far off target that it makes one wonder what movie was he watching. Will Smith and Rosario Dawson gave extremely emotional performances that give this movie a very human and authentic feeling. I gaurantee that when this movie is released theaters will have to keep mops on hand to absorb the flood of tears that will be shed by movie goers of all types. Seven Pounds is the most beautiful movie to be created in a long time. Trust me!!”

“.....just so happy to be me, who agree's 100% with the above comment, and not Sean Burns or anyone else who doesn't get this movie. My heart bleeds for them (if you'll excuse the pun?).”
