Occupation: In-house sales representative for O.Y.B. clothing company.
Style: 685-square-foot one-bedroom apartment.
Imagine living aboard a luxury cruise ship. That's the image that comes to mind when touring the glamorous Trilogy apartment complex in Wyncote. Featuring an indoor basketball court, along with tennis and racquetball courts, a heated pool, its own 90-seat movie theater, a salon and spa, a fancy restaurant that delivers and a pilates gym, Trilogy is like a self-contained city and entertainment center. It appears tailor-made for resident Raquel Kajkowski, who as a sales rep in the fashion industry, seems entirely comfortable in her swanky high-rise apartment.
Where were you living before?
"Eagleville. And since I work in Huntington Valley, it was really inconvenient. Living here, I'm just 8 miles from work. I also spend a lot of time in the city, and that takes only about 20 minutes from here."
Obviously location figured large in your decision, but why Trilogy specifically?
"It has the salon and the restaurant attached and all the other amenities, which I really like. It has the best parking of anywhere around here, and I also like that it's a gated community with a guard station outside and a doorperson in the lobby. Being a single woman, it just makes me feel more secure. It's very clean, and the modern decor appeals to me as well."
I love your black, white and tan color scheme. Did you buy new furniture for the apartment?
"I brought a lot of furniture from my old house that I had in the basement. I'm in limbo a bit in my life right now, so I didn't want to buy a lot of new stuff. That's also why having an apartment with a one-year lease works so well for me. I wanted to rent rather than own a place, and here it's all rentals."
Did you have a lot of different floor plans to choose from?
"Yes. In fact there are 85 different plans to choose from. I looked at a few different ones, but I decided on the one-bedroom since it's just the right size for me."
You have a great view.
"A number of the apartments have balconies. But it was cold when I moved in, so I didn't get the terrace. Besides there's an outdoor pool I can use whenever I want to lie in the sun."
Did it come with the hardwood floors?
"Yes. It came with everything, really. The French doors leading to the bedroom were here, as was the ceramic tile in the bath. It was all recently redone, so the countertops and cabinets were new as well. I haven't had to do anything to it at all."
The bedroom is quite large.
"It is, and coming from living in a large house, that was important. It also has a walk-in closet, which being in the fashion industry, I absolutely needed."
Is there anything you wish it had that it doesn't?
"No. Truthfully, it has everything I want."
