Sat., Oct. 8: Philadelphia music legends Jerry Blavat (left) and Frankie Avalon celebrate the dedication of the latest project by the Mural Arts Program. Located at 1235 E. Passyunk Ave. in South Philadelphia, the new mural South Philly Musicians features likenesses of Philadelphia icons Jerry Blavat, Frankie Avalon, Chubby Checker, Fabian, Al Martino, Eddie Fisher and Bobby Rydell. Checker, Martino, Councilman Frank DiCicco, Congressman Robert Brady and Local 98 union boss John Dougherty also attended the dedication.
