"The officers on the scene would be trained law enforcement officials who would know to take minimal action," says Sheridan, "to stop the situation from progressing."
The night before, an incident took place on the corner of Third and Chestnut streets in which two park rangers attempted to break up a fight, and one walked away with a broken nose.
Schultice has contacted a lawyer to help him fight the $250 citation he received for "disorderly conduct." (Schultice says his chief opponent in the dustup also received a citation.) But he's still contemplating whether he'll sue the Park Service.
"I want someone to get hold of these guys and retrain them," he says.
