The Philadelphia Business Journal reports there are 6,000 jobs available in town. But they're mostly confined to a narrow range of work: "Many of the companies that reported significant job openings were hospitals, health-care-related or life sciences companies. Many of the jobs these organizations are seeking to fill are nurse practitioners, physicians, occupational therapists, clinical workers, information-technology positions, managers, sales and support staff. “There are a lot of determinates in hiring. There’s going to be caution on the part of banking and health-care companies because they’re subject to reform [measures]. They want to see what happens before acting,” said economist Ryan Sweet."
