Today is the only day before the May 17 primary that candidates file reports showing their contributions and expenses, giving us a real idea of who's postitioned to compete effectively. The amounts raised reflect receipts from Jan. 1 through May 2. A few candidates raised money before Jan. 1, and those receipts aren't reflected here.
