Today is the only day before the May 17 primary that candidates file reports showing their contributions and expenses, giving us a real idea of who's postitioned to compete effectively. I'll be checking Philadelphia candidates' reports as they come in and giving you the key numbers (not including judicial candidates—sorry).
The amounts raised reflect receipts from Jan. 1 through May 2. A few candidates raised money before Jan. 1, and those receipts aren't reflected here.
