He knows that his plans sound a bit ambitious, but he’s got the experience, he says, few in Congress have. And not just that of the military: “I’m from the hood,” he says. “I’m from North Philly. I have to negotiate everything.”

Lastly, Mansfield has a bone to pick with his fellow Republicans, whom he claims are scared of Black people (he completely dismisses the conservative utopian idea of the U.S. being a colorless society) and issuing benefits to combat veterans. “[Republicans] stand on the sidelines and they cheer, ‘Support our troops,’ but when those troops run for office they say, ‘We liked it when you were taking the bullets, but we didn’t mean for you guys to come back and run. We didn’t mean that,’” he says. “A lot of Republicans like to see their candidates dressed up as dolls, but I ain’t no damn doll.”

“Sigh. Y'know, if you guys are going to run an article about some black dude who has convinced himself that the Tea Party really gives a damn about him or other blacks, you could at least find someone who understands that the Democratic party of today (for all its faults) is not the same as the the Democratic party of the first half of the 20th century (and prior) that gave birth to the KKK. I hate that idiotic "but it was the Republicans who freed the slaves" meme that assorted fools and racist apologists toss around without anything resembling context. As for the rest of the article? Tea Party. 'Nuff said.

“...Well, unfortunately Yitzchak-- as pedantic and categorically insipid as you present your material, it would appear that you fail to fully grasp the true breath of the context for which you describe. As for the rest of your response-- garbage. 'Nuff said.

P.S. I'm 12”

“Sgt. Robert Mansfield is now running for Congress. Boy he can't sit still! Either he's itching to serve or he's a delusional fool from the hood just looking for attention, and wasting time. But then again, we already have a fool in the 2nd Congressional now. So maybe Mansfields efforts finally afford him a shot...

Maybe folks should support him just to watch Fattah squirm...he's got kid troubles that could become HIS troubles as it is...”
