Regarding Lush Life:
Enjoyed your article on the breakfast club at JR’s saloon. If you really want a taste of JR’s meet me on a Friday or Saturday morning! Than you’ll know what a true Fishtown happy hour can be like.
There are two things that I must clear up though, Petey probably didn’t take your cigarettes (he would have taken the whole pack) and maybe I am undercharging for Red Breast. Anytime you can take a day out of your schedule, give me a holler and I’ll take you on the mission of your young life to the best dive bars in the river wards. Ask your co-worker Brian McManus; he lost a day with me, and a camera, and a wallet, and almost a marriage two years ago.

Regarding the banning of an LGBT book in N.J.:
Although Bill Haney states the local 9/12 group had no formal position concerning the book banning, there are many emails among the members that describe their plans to ban this book and others on the GLSEN’s book list in Burlington County, although these emails have all been removed from the site. Statements from the Gateway Pundit and the Public Advocate of the United States, Eugene Delgaudio have also been posted on the site in reference to the group’s concern over LGBT rights.
