“Oh, how I miss the days when The Philadelphia Weekly had great writers who did their subjects proud.
Ms. Beverly seems like a fascinating individual and her story should pop off the page, but Murtha's writing is so boring, clumsy, and poorly constructed that I could barely get through this. it's a shame.
What I don't understand is, if PW keeps publishing such dreck, week after week the writing is just awful, the paper keeps shrinking, your readership is shrinking, and if you're like most newspapers you're losing money hand over fist then why don't you just fold and save yourselves the money and the embarrassment? It makes no sense.”
