EARTH SHATTERING

Big moment: On Tues., Aug. 23, Philly experiences the remnants of a 5.8 magnitude earthquake from Virginia, shaking skyscrapers and leading businesses all over Center City to evacuate.

Small moment: PW ’s Tuesday afternoon deadline becomes a bit trickier.

Big moment: Later that week, the unimpressive Hurricane Irene strikes the city. It rains a lot, sure, but we stocked up on bread, milk, eggs and whiskey for this?

Small moment: All the media and your friends come up with the same cliched cliche: “What next, locusts? LOL!”
