“How about they take a common sense approach and study the girls that got sick. Should be relatively easy to do, since seizures, paralysis, etc... are easily documented. And if there are 'only a few' then is shouldn't cost much. But if there are so many that it is cost prohibitive - well then - you've got your answer. As a side note - regardless of what Dr. Offit says - I have never heard of a percentage of formerly healthy active teenagers being struck down with paralysis and seizures out of the blue. I doubt there are any statistics to back that up. Show me where those figures are - and why aren't we seeing teenage boys or non-Gardasil recipient girls with the same symptoms?”

“My daughter is also very ill from the Gardasil vaccine. It took me two years and finally googling auto-immune disorders to find Gardasil was the culprit. What healthy teen gets severe pneumonia mid-summer without first a cough or cold? What healthy teen loses their hair? Only those poisoned by a bad vaccine. Why did the FDA approve this GMO (genetically invented) vaccine when it had not been studied long-term? The only reasonable answer is greed. VAERS is helpful - but antiquated. They are months behind in documenting severe side effects. Please get this vaccine off the market. So many have not been as lucky as my daughter and have paid with their lives. And ... Thank you writing this article. We need more people looking seriously into this vaccine (Scotland and Germany are now investigating ... why wouldn't the country that initiated this vaccine get it done first?)”

“My beautiful 13 year old has been sick for almost a year since getting the Gardasil vaccine. She is currently being treated by 2 major university hospitals. The vaccine was recommended by her pediatrician. My daughter should be having the happiest days of her life, but instead, she has almost missed the entire school year and is constantly visiting doctors. Because of this vaccine, my daughter has been ONE LESS. I would not recommend this vaccine. I would rather my daughter who had NO HEALTH ISSUES prior to this vaccine to be healthy than take this vaccine. Thousands of dollars and a whole school year later, the symptoms have not gone away. Please mothers, do not take the chance of damaging your precious daughters. Please INVESTIGATE BEFORE YOU VACCINATE. I am pleased to see a reporter who accurately reports on the side effects of this vaccine. Good job. I will remember Victoria and Jodi and all of the 15,000 who have been reported ill after receiving this vaccine along with the 40 who have died in my prayers. CDC and FDA, please do something about this! Merck you have a responsibility to investigate the side effects of this drug. Please honor your responsibility!”

“I actually received all of the three gardasil shots and I was fine. it's sad that people do have to go through such suffering, but the medicinal ingredients found within the shot CAN affect people differently. Maybe there should be more warnings and consultations before the vaccine is actually delivered. It's up to the doctors, FDA, and whomever else to make sure people remain healthy and not fall ill.”

“My daughter was also injured by the Gardasil vaccine - and she was frightened into taking it by a family physician when she thought she might not need it! She has had seizures, tremors, migraines and head pressure that made her jaw swell up. Her face drooped like it would slide off of her face. She began falling down and eventually lost the ability to walk without aid. She has chronic nerve pain, 24/7, GI tract disorders, abnormal pupillary function, light sensitivity, abnormal pupil dilation. She has peripheral neuropathy in both lower legs (feels nothing to the touch of her skin), She had partial paralysis off and on during the first year in her legs, but is now able to walk short distances with crutches. She needs help getting dressed, and cannot be left alone since her legs give out without warning and she falls. Her seizures subsided in December 2008 after we increase her vitamin D supplement. She also was diagnosed as having no epilepsy. Several doctors told us she was stressed or had a psychosamtic disorder. We did not belive this, so we researched until we found that the HPV vaccine can cause all of these symptoms she is suffering with. If the pharmaceutical company had made us aware of all the potential side affects/adverse reaction, our daughter would not have lost two year of her life - to date!
Thanks for this article - we know it isn't easy to talk about or deal with this kind of pain and loss.”

“Well, Looks like Gardasil can be classified as a WMD Weapon of Mass destruction. I am not joking about this. It is a genentically modified organism. The girls receiving the vaccines are being used as a clinical study. There is no data that proves gardasil prevents cancer. They are only guessing. Look at Vaers some girls have developed hpv and cervical cancer and have stated they were not sexually active. My doctor did not report my daughters symptoms to vaers after she told me she would. Well I put them in. Months ago and they have yet to show up. My daughter developed peripheral neuropathy in both feet after her vaccination with the GMO. Lost part of her peripheral vision. Faints all the time with leg weakness(paralysis) in both legs. Then comes the migraine headaches. She initially had them for weeks. My daughter is a victim of Merck, FDA and CDC. I believe they are constituting crimes against humanity. My daughter went from being a genius. To failing all her classes. After the first shot she had a fever, headache, vomiting and could not get out of bed for three weeks. I told her doctor and she said it was a bad flu vaccine. Which was administered at the time of the gardasil. Which is not indicated in the gardasil leaflet. She has chest pains, joint pains, migraines, fainting, tremors, sinsuitis, gastritis, fungal infections. The best part is she has not had a period since her first shot. She has had EKG's, MRI's, EEG's, sleep studies. She now wears a CPAP every night due to severe sleep apnea. However she had a normal sleep study before the first vaccine and it was normal. OKAY MERCK. You CRIMINALS. CDC your on it to. OFFITT go give your self 100,000. shots of gardasil. I read your quote in the news week article.. I hope you die and rot in hell.”

“A gynocologist told a friend of mine who had HPV, that HPV is dormant in a lot of people, both men and women, of all ages including infants. He also said the body can naturally defeat the non-dormant virus in a matter of time, like 7 years or so. It can be sexually transmitted, but doesn't necessarilly have to be. Teach your daughters about safe sex. They don't need a vaccine to prevent HPV. Chances are they may already have it even if they are not sexually active. The immune system response is boosted by adjuvants added to the vaccine so that the body produces more antibodies than the altered virus in the vaccine would produce by itself. In the case of the HPV vaccine, the adjuvants cause the body to produce about 200 times the amount of antibodies than would be naturally produced by the body in clearing the virus without the vaccine. Most commonly, these adjuvants are aluminum-based. Some people may not clear aluminum as easily as others and some people may already have high levels of aluminum in their body. Aluminum tends to collect in the brain and causes a variety of nervous system symptoms. So it is possible, and cannot harm a person or cost much, to at least try reducing aluminum exposure, namely, from deodorants, antacids, processed cheese, cooking in aluminum pans, and so on. Standard tests can measure blood levels of aluminum.
This is a much better researched article than the coverage that has appeared on the national networks and mainstream media. For example, it is very rare for these other articles to point out the risk of delayed exposure to the HPV virus. As the article notes, when women contract the virus in their twenties, as most women do, they readily build antibodies and control the virus within a year or so. If the vaccine does not provide lifetime immunity, a missed booster shot could mean that women contract the virus in their thirties when their immune system does not readily control the virus. Persistent HPV infection can then result more easily which is a necessary condition for cervical precancer.”

“There have been few cases of fainting and other symptoms after administration of Gardasil. From a public health standpoint, preventing cervical cancer through vaccination is really important. Having treated many young women with cervical cancer, most of whom died after radical surgery and/or radiation therapy, I think anything that can prevent this is a good thing. No drug or vaccine is ever 100% safe, and it's a great shame when any patient has side effects. I'm not clear, however, that this has to do with the vaccine. I say this as someone who has zero vested interest in Merck, does not trust pharmaceutical companies, and have been highly critical of many pharmaceutical company practices. It's important to report on fact, though, not speculation. I wish this article could have included more unbiased medical opinion-surely there are physicians with expertise in vaccines who have no ties to Merck who could have weighed in objectively and fairly. That said, I would not dis Gardasil out of hand. Having seen too much suffering and death in women with cervical cancer, as well as having treated many young women with cervical dysplasia (the treatment of which can cause issues with childbearing), I'd hate for an effective vaccine to be shelved. I also wonder how much of the anti-Gardasil sentiment is fueled by social concerns re: encouraging promiscuity. There is no basis in fact for such concerns, but the far right has certainly attacked anything that they feel could promote sexual intercourse, even if it comes at the expense of women's health.”

You really should do your research into the ingredients in Gardasil. That stuff is poison! 1 microgram of reactive aluminum is considered toxic. Each shot of Gardasil has 225 micrograms!! Total all 3 jabs and that equals 675 micrograms of toxic material being injected!!!
Then along with all the other horrible ingredients.

Please do your research into this before you make your 'informed' comments. Gardasil does NOT prevent cervical cancer!!!”

Merck only did 'clinical trials' for 5 years. They also did not
complete their clinical trials on girls ages 9-15. They ALSO used
reactive aluminum (we dont know how much) in their placebo's which made
the numbers of reactions to be false.

Reactive aluminum is considered toxic at 1 microgram. Each Gardasil
shot has 225 micrograms (all 3 shots equal 675 micrograms!).

Along with the other toxic chemicals in Gardasil:

Each 0.5-mL dose of the vaccine contains approximately 225 mcg of
aluminum (as Amorphous Aluminum Hydroxyphosphate Sulfate adjuvant), 9.56 mg of sodium chloride, 0.78 mg of L-histidine, 50 mcg of polysorbate 80, 35 mcg of sodium borate, < 7 mcg yeast protein/dose.

Do some research into those chemicals and see what you find. None of
those chemicals need to be injected into anyone!

It should work equally as well in boys and men, who are of course just as likely to contract the virus as women and girls. Men will have no symptoms if they contract the strains that cause cervical dysplasia or potentially cancer in women. I wonder how much quicker we could eradicate HPV in the youth population if boys were taking the vaccine? Making 'sensitive' individuals less likely to need to take it. Perhaps there were certain predispositions these girls had to reacting to it? Is anyone chronicling that?

“Tara, I thank you for Your report on Gardasil. I have tried for many months to have a letter posted in our large news paper in Jacksonville, warning families of the side effects of Gardasil. The letters have all been rejected. I have been corresponding with the local TV station asking them to do a story on Gardasil and the effects it is having on the population. That is all it has been, TALK. We who have been getting the word out feel it is not fast enough to stop more of our girls from the horrors they receive from the jab. Many who have written have told their stories. In our family we are now "ONE LESS".

Jessie was a beautiful 17 year old young lady about to graduate and go with her best friend to collage. Jessie was very active in sports. On the honor roll in school. The life of the party. Two days after her third shot her mother came home from work and found Jessie DEAD. She had many of the symptoms the other girls had but her doctor said, it was stress. The night before her death she told her mom the headache was back. The autopsy found no cause. What had caused Jessie to die?

Then the research began. Gardasil was typed on the computer and it was unbelievable what came up. If we had only known!! Why did we not know? We have found many who are helping us and other families who are and have gone through what we are going through. We are not alone in our quest to tell anyone who will listen. Gardasil is a killer and a maimer of our young women and girls. Most mothers do not know there are other side effects other than what is written in the brochures and on the TV commercials. Our stories are being told and we are thanked by many for telling our stories. Please help by passing them on to others. So many more will die and all because we are trying to prevent the HPV virus and cervical cancer but finding out that the so called cure is killing them also. A grandmother who knows.”

“Great article! My daughter,13, has also been a "mystery" health case since she received the Gardasil vaccine. Of course, we can't prove it was the vaccine. But she was completely healthy before being vaccinated. So, it makes you wonder. She's spent over six weeks at the Mayo Clinic, seeing 5 top pediatric doctors with still no diagnosis. Chronic anemia, sed rate and crp rates over 100, blood clotting disorder and multiple enlarged lymph nodes. She's had surgeries to remove the nodes (benign), but all reactive. Reactive to what? Probably the Gardarsil. I just hope people become educated with this vaccine before getting it. Not enough research was done before it was approved.”

“How many doctors do you think have read this article? Why has only 1 doctor responded? The story about gardasil is out - These moms and their daughters need help - medical help, financial help. Jodi and the other moms were wise enough to realize the girls got sick after the gardasil shots.What about the other moms that didn't realize it. Their daughters are probably on meds for stress or other useless meds. The moms are going around in circles, e-mailing one another, trying to find a cure, something to help these girls. They need guidance, not going from doctor to doctor, having test after test - results showing nothing. But most of all, they need to find a cure. Doctors just won't get involved with the gardasil and it's terrible side effects. Maybe a doctor will write in and offer his or her help. After all, doctors are supposed to heal, aren't they???”

“My daughter only had 2 of the 3 injections. We didnt realize that it was from the Gardasil shots until I was emailed a video on youtube from another injured girl. That same day was the day that Kristyn ended up in the ER for the first time. We didn't put 2 and 2 together until I was informed by another injured girl. Thank god for that because if Kristyn had gotten the 3rd shot, there's no telling what would have happened!
My daughter was healthy and had NO health problems until Gardasil. Now she has so many health problems I cant even keep up with them! There's noone that can convince me that Gardasil is not to blame.
Gardasil is a JOKE...Merck is lying in their advertisements....Gardasil does not prevent cervical cancer!
I cannot wait for the day that Gardasil is taken off the market and they are held accountable for their actions! That will be the day that I re-visit every doctor that has told me and my daughter that Gardasil is not to blame for her health problems. I want to shove the proof down their throats!!”

Granted, not EVERYONE has these "side-effects," but even the RISK of my daughter no longer having me due to something that was supposed to save me is absolutely absurd. Now, being aware of the ridiculously long list of risks, I would NEVER get this vaccine, nor will I ever suggest someone else to. “HPV is a lifelong condition requiring repeated testing should you contract a high risk form that becomes cancer - many women contract more than one at a time. I requires you to be picked apart piece by tiny piece by doctors over many years and perhaps the rest of your life. HPV cannot be simply cut out and doesn't go away, it goes dormant in your system, only to reactivate months, years or decades after your initial exposure, should your immune system or stress activate it, causing cancer or even death.

So for cervical cancer survivors, does the ends justify the means if a few people have adverse reactions, yes! I am sorry some women have bad reactions, but this vaccine is very necessary and should remain on the market.”

I would suppose that the aluminum itself in this vaccine might actually cause HPV. There are many girls who have NEVER been sexually active but now, after this vaccine, are being diagnosed with HPV. “I am a physician in Philadelphia. I have always been an advocate for vaccines. Working in the industry, I have personally dealt with reactions to MANY vaccines. Overall, are the vaccines safe? YES! But there are people who do in fact have adverse reactions. Most recently, I have learned of many adverse reactions to the gardasil vaccine. Most of those reactions are similar to those of Victoria mentioned in the article. It is my opinion that additional testing should be done in an effort to determine why so many girls have had adverse reactions. Perhaps there is something in the girls' genetic make-up or even an underlying factor, such as allergies, immune disorders, lyme, etc. Regardless, I am of the belief that Merck should do some additional studies. The numbers are growing significantly. I do not want to see the vaccine completed remove from the market, however, I do think there should be some investigation as to the causation when so many girls have similar side effects.”

This is a vaccine that has produced numerous peer-reviewed studies in print over the past many years, as has the forthcoming HPV vaccine from GSK. I am if anything, pretty suspicious of drug companies in general, but having read the actual studies over many years, I'm very happy to speak out in support of this vaccine. Anyone who doubts its efficacy can read any of a number of articles in major journals. For example, in one study in the New England Journal, 12,167 women were involved in a randomized double-blind trial (which is the gold standard in academic medicine) that demonstrated a significantly reduced rate of high-grade cervical dysplasia, the precursor to cervical cancer. Unless you're prepared to argue the evidence, I'm not seeing this as anything but prejudged.”

NVIC is involved in investigation. VAERS is further investigating. Coincidentally, on June 11, 2009, the FDA advised Merck to include more prominent warnings about fainting, also mentioned tonic-clonic or jerking movements and seizure-like activity.”

“I don't know if you know or not but the shot has been being given out in England for 10 year now. Look on some of their medical pages and see if you could get some answers there. I am so sorry that your family is going thru this. I am choosing to give my daughters (4) the shot. I was hpv postive in 1993 and have been fighting the effects, bad paps and treatments for the high grade hpv that as caused me to have cervical cancer. I will be praying that your daughter gets the right help and is cured from whatever it is that is distroying her young life....May God Bless You.”
