The Army Experience Center at Franklin Hills Mall entices military recruits with video games that replicate some of the experiences of war. East Coast peace groups marched on the mall Saturday to protest the center, which they say gives an unrealistic and distorted view of life in combat.

“The mall is private property. BUT, it is in the business of catering to the public. In many communities, the local mall has become the town center. Therefore, for all intents and purposes, it must be considered public property. That means anyone may protest about anything at any time they want while the mall is open. Anyone may wear a protest tee shirt that says anything they want. Eventually this will come out in the court system.”
