Brew the Looking Glass
Regarding last week’s beer week issue:
Words escape me to say how much I love this “study” and feel as though I have been conducting my own study of Philly’s beer-drinking habits, somewhat less aware, since I moved here nearly 2 years ago. Dear Mr. Weary, if our paths ever cross, I owe you a beer.

Tabling the Issue
Regarding Jacob Lambert’s column about offering table games at the new SugarHouse casino:
Didn’t fast Eddie hold a gun to Nutter’s head though? If our ex-mayor hadn’t joined the dark side, perhaps no politician, caught in a recession, would have to go so far from their comfort zone to keep the city going. Rendell is a total scammer. He fooled us all.

Regarding last week’s review of Shrek Forever After:
I’m not a prude, but criticism is ALWAYS accepted more readily and given more credence when four letter words (or in this case, seven letters used as a gerund) are not included. That having been said, I haven’t seen the fourth Shrek movie yet, but I’ll take your word for it that it wasn’t worth the wait.

Chili Reception
Regarding Brian McManus’ recent Lush Life column:
I enjoyed your article on Billy’s Chili Pot. I discovered the craziness of that place in late winter when I did a photo essay about the underside of the Frankford El. I walked from Girard Avenue all the way to the Pratt Transportation center and back. It was a very interesting adventure and the photos turned out incredible. Anyway I thought you might enjoy this shot of Billy’s (see below).
Thanks again for the great article!
