Ready to find out Philly's coolest people, fanciest food, tastiest drinks, best shopping and more? Welcome to PW's "Better Than Best" list, a roundup of all of the city's top hidden treasures.

Some of what you can find inside:

Better Than Best: Food: Once they had Japanese sushi chefs making fresh sashimi and California rolls while we looked at … well, we can’t remember because we were eating. Another time it was a simple, fresh guacamole. PW names Philly's best eateries.

Better Than Best: Sex & Sports: If you live in the city, you’ve almost certainly walked past the South Street-area shop and seen the classes advertised on the chalkboard outside: “Rough Sex for Beginners." PW names the hottest places in Philly.

Better Than Best: Style and Services: Finding a good hair dresser can make even the sanest people act like puppies, following a stylist around, hoping they land in another salon or start their own haircare biz. PW brings you the best places to get served in Philly.

Better Than Best: People and Places: Who are Philly's coolest people? Where are the best places to hang out in the city? PW hit the streets to find out who's awesome and where.

Better Than Best: Philly Bars: PW names the coolest bars, bartenders, brews and boites around Philadelphia. Is your favorite bar on our list?

Roger Wing: Less is Best: No matter how much fun Roger Wing has experimenting with ice and marble, when it comes to his work as a sculptor the Fishtown artist always returns to carving wood, always seeks to recapture the bliss he once felt as a novice artist.

Jafar Barron Plays the Park: In a city of buskers, Jafar Barron has the best resume. He’s played cornet with Wynton Marsalis and on albums with Erykah Badu and Jill Scott. He gets credit for the "neo-soul" movement. So why is he playing on a bench in Rittenhouse Square?
