"There is no crisis affecting African-Americans more than HIV," says Bell. "Fifty million Africans were ensnared in the slave trade. By 2010 we'll eclipse that with the number of black people affected by HIV. There's nothing in our history that has approached this size, damage and scope, and it shows no signs of slowing down."
