As a previous resident of Philly and long-time fan of Asimov, I feel that a dedication to such a prolific and important writer is a worthy gesture from a great city.
As someone who loves Philadelphia and views it as his adopted hometown, I would love nothing more than to see my city honor one of America’s most important 20th-century writers (of both fiction and nonfiction).
Asimov should rightly be considered one of the most influential people of the 20th century. A plaque to honour him is a fairly tiny thing in comparison to his input.
