Sublime pushed the bounds of how shitty a band could be, raising the bar for suckage to such Olympian heights Paul Bunyan could've limbo'd under it after eating a Chinese buffet. The SoCal act's marriage of ska riffs and forced "What, me worry?" beach-bum aesthetic was the perfect aural opiate for white college kids and their beer funnels who wanted to like Bob Marley but couldn't "get with" his sometimes-revolutionary bent. Think Skankin' Pickle or Op Ivy stripped of everything that made them interesting or good. Anyway, Sublime ended when singer/guitarist Bradley Nowell overdosed on heroin. Now bands have formed to pay tribute. Badfish is one of them.
