In its first incarnation, Wilmington, Del.-born pop punk band Plow United (now based in West Chester) only existed for a few short years before disbanding in 1997. In that time, Brian McGee, Joel Tannenbaum and Sean Rule managed to be remarkably prolific, releasing two full-lengths on Creep Records as well as a whole slew of singles and split 7-inches. The band also staked out an ubiquitous presence within the Philly punk scene, as it was pretty much impossible to walk into an all-ages venue without seeing multiple Plow United patches stitched onto the showgoers’ messenger bags. However, Plow United’s break-up turned out to be just a 14-year hiatus. Not only did the band reunite to play this year’s Riot Fest East, but it also announced plans to record a new album. It will be interesting to hear what Joel, Sean and Brian produce now that they are firmly planted in adulthood.
