Sounds Like: The L.A. kids’ third is well-produced, fuzzy and simultaneously chill and electrified, but ultimately it’s a bit bland and not as fun as moments from the first two.

Free Association: They sound dangerously close to Placebo with that nasally voice.

For Fans Of: A Smashing Pumpkins ripoff, Weezer + Oasis, cool Silverlake hangtimes.

Sounds Like: A trio from England led by Lucinda Chua (piano, gorgeous voice) and Chris Summerlin, this is a poetic, compellingly simple, beautiful and bewitching listen.

For Fans Of: Regina Spektor (old stuff) x Cat Power, Laura Marling, thoughtfulness.
