The Once Was is an eclectic four-piece indie rock band descending from the creative zealot that is the home recording studio. Collaborating existential lyrical themes with progressive indie-pop sensibilities and theoretical musical notions, the band brings an energetic and surprising live show to audiences and enthusiasts alike. Recently the band completed production on their debut album "Post War Parade," to be release april 1st. Recorded over 8 months at Studio 4, the album is serves as a stepping stone into the national scene. Following the release, the band will headline downstairs at World Cafe Live April 15th. Recently the band signed a promotional deal with Temple University's newly formed "Owl Drop Records."
