Hailing from the dirt and sweat of West Philadelphia, Mose Giganticus is the apocalyptic future-punk brainchild of Matt Garfield. Performing live as a power-trio, Mose Giganticus features Garfield on bass-synth, vocals, and vocoder, with a rotating cast of eager supporting musicians providing powerful drums and malevolent guitar work. As the band’s name suggests, however, Mose Giganticus conjures a sound much larger than the sum of its parts by utilizing technological savvy in an ever-escalating “equipment arms-race,” described as if Ric Ocasek and "Thriller-era" Quincy Jones started a hardcore band (John-Michael Bond, Mammoth Press).
Touring relentlessly on recycled waste vegetable oil in a converted shuttle-bus, we've been from Philadelphia to Anchorage Alaska to Miami and almost everywhere in-between.
