Recorded in churches and homes in and around Philadelphia and mixed and mastered by John Baker at Maja Audio Group, the five tracks on Adam Arcuragi's new EP Soldiers for Feet echo the warm hominess and deep intimacy that Arcuragi feels toward his hometown of Philadelphia. But at the same time, they also reflect a stronger nostalgia for his childhood in Georgia than his previous releases. The EP’s first track, “Sin is Just an Old Archery Term” is a wandering southern-style tome colored by old-timey vocal harmonies and hushed guitars, and “The Old Sears & Roebuck Catalogue” is an ode to the days of $2.59 gas ranges (an ad for which is pictured on the record’s face.)
Soldiers for Feet will be available soon on limited-edition vinyl or for digital download.
