Sat., Dec. 11, 10pm. $10. Fluid, 613 S. Fourth St. 215.629.0565. www.squarebiz.org

For those who demand a lot from their evening pastimes, Square Biz's special-edition TastyTreats might entice you. Featuring appearances by cast members from the new Fat Albert movie, the party features a musical lineup as varied as it is satisfying. First on the decks is Philly's homegrown hero Jazzy Jeff. Teamed up with the musical encyclopedia that is ?uestlove, the one-two punch promises to hit the dance sweet spot. Expect a heavy dose of Mr. Townes sliding neo-hip-hop to get the bubbly flowing as Wu-Tang's own Choco follows with a crunkier tilt. Bearing his addition to the month-long Ol' Dirty Bastard tribute, Choco's stacked collection is certain to unearth an ODB rarity or two. Topping off it all off is Mike Nyce's classic reggae and soul for an early-morning downswing. Anyone's sure to find something to please here. Just make sure it isn't one of the actors. Blackout

Mon., Dec. 13, 9pm. Free. Weekly. Khyber, 56 S. Second St. 215.238.5888. www.thekhyber.com

Not to be confused with the Blackout at Bar Noir on Sundays, this Blackout takes place every Monday at the Khyber during football season. The Khyber's first floor isn't exactly ideal for watching games--what with the tiny TV mounted on the high ceiling and the ear-shattering rock bands playing in the next room. But upstairs on Mondays you'll find a large projection screen, perfect for watching all the touchdown dances and 50-yard field goals your pigskin-covered heart desires. After the game sports fans can get down to the selections of DJ IM, who spins underground and classic hip-hop. Expect to hear current oddball MCs like MF Doom, groundbreaking forebears and surely some local talent to boot. As football goes, this week's Chiefs-Titans face-off may not be so exciting in itself, but keep in mind that the Khyber downstairs will be dominated by no less than Kinky Quizzo (see A-List), which means some of those sexed-up trivia fanatics are bound to wander upstairs. Football, hip-hop and filthy-minded Philadelphians--not bad for a wintry Monday night. (Doug Wallen)
