Nobody Yet performs
There’s nothing better than discovering a new band and following them as they refine their identity and sound. Fortunately, you’ll have a chance to do just that on Tuesday when four up-and-coming bands--Villains Like You, the Rickolus, R3 Band and Nobody Yet--share the stage at North Star Bar. Villains Like You is a four-man punk, blues-rock band from Newark, Delaware. This year they released their debut album, “Black Jackets,” which features some straight-up passionate rock and blues, with undertones of the White Stripes meets the Black Keys. Currently touring the east coast, Rickolus is comprised of musician Richard J. Colado and friends. They boast a fun, experimental folk sound that leaves you with over-all good feeling. Named after the R3 (West Trenton-Media/Elwynn) regional rail line, R3 Band is an acoustic rock group that has been playing together as far back as 1992. They officially came together as a complete band in 2001 and after making some changes, produced their final project in 2009. Nobody Yet is an alternative, pop-punk trio that loves to put on a show and get their audience dancing with them. They’re still working on a full-length album and for all you drummers out there, they actually have an opening.
Tue/19. 8pm. $7. North Star Bar, 2639 Poplar St. 215.787.0488.
