MSTRKRFT
Fist of God (Dim Mak)
MSTRKRFT are disciples of the Justice School of Masculine Dance Music, and that’s good. Best Fist track features Philadelphia’s Freeway. Elsewhere, legend of Philly sound Larry Gold helps with production. Plus, the album cover features female asses and legs formed into a fist. Fist of God, indeed!

A Trak
Infinity + 1 (Fool’s Gold)
Kanye’s DJ has busted out of the shadow of Music’s Biggest Ego on his own label Fool’s Gold for sometime now, and Infinity + 1 sees him remixing some of Pop’s most creative names (Sebastien Tellier! MSTRKRFT’s collabo with N.O.R.E.!). A touch slick in parts, a tad Euro in others, but a fun ride nevertheless.

Lady Sovereign
Jigsaw (Midget)
On her stateside Def Jam debut Lady Sov was 10 pounds of annoying in a 5 pound package. Now on her own label—the appropriately named “Midget”—her cockney drawl is less abrasive somehow. Maybe she’s humbled? Sample lyric: “I am a top notch bitch/ My banter is the shit.” Er, maybe not!
