Twenty-one year old Omar “Young Hot” Richmond, has been taking Philadelphia’s underground rap scene by storm since he began freestyling in the halls of West Philly High. He’s talented and charismatic (how many people can get away with calling themselves Young Hot?), as well as industrious. He’s already recorded several albums and has material enough to record five more by the end of the summer.
His music is therapy for himself, and, he hopes, a tool for understanding.
He spent a rainy Tuesday night in May recording a new album and hanging out with friends.
