Philly Roller Girls

Philly Roller Girls, an all-girl roller derby league, presented a double header on March 7 at their new venue, the 23 Street Armory. Rhode Island Riveters from Providence defeated Philadelphia Heavy Metal Hookers in the first bout (82-73) while two local teams, Philthy Britches and Broad Street Butchers, played against each other in the second. Philthy Britches won (119-112). A serious concussion occurred during the double header and one referee was hospitalized. The event was sold-out. The next bout of the season is at the 23 Street Armory on March 28.
