Having been a key contributor to the Center City luxury condominium market since
1980, Allan Domb and Allan Domb Real Estate are known throughout the United States
as being synonymous with Center City luxury condominiums. ADRE continues to
be a dominant player in the Center City luxury condominium sales in buildings such as Academy House, The Barclay, Center City One, The Dorchester, Hopkinson House,
Independence Place, Pier 3, Pier 5, The Philadelphian, Society Hill Towers and Wanamaker House.
Since 1999, ADRE has also been engaged in new Center City luxury condominium
developments. ADRE purchased the majority interest in The Barclay Hotel on
Rittenhouse Square in June of 1999 and developed 252,000 square feet into 110 luxury
residential condominiums. ADRE also purchased the WB Saunders Building in 2000, an
office building located on Washington Square in the Society Hill area, and converted it
into single floor condominium homes now called 220 West Washington Square.
In 2003, ADRE purchased and started the development of The Lanesborough, located
at 16th & Locust Streets, two blocks from Rittenhouse Square. He converted the
property into 18 luxury 3,500 square foot single floor condominium homes which range
in price from $2.5 million to $5 million. Currently, ADRE, along with Frankel Enterprises,
is converting the top eight floors (which consists of 118,000 square feet) of the Warwick
Hotel at 17th and Locust Streets into 110 condominium homes. In addition to The Lanesborough
and The Warwick, ADRE is also involved, along with Lubert Adler and David Marshall, in the
redevelopment of the former Sheraton Hotel and Rittenhouse Regency, which has over 400,000
square feet located on Rittenhouse Square. This property is being converted into a luxury condominium
building with 270 condominium homes called Parc Rittenhouse. Parc Rittenhouse will have the
Parc Rittenhouse Club on the 7th floor which consists of an outdoor pool, spa, landscaped
garden and fountains, indoor media room, resident lounge, fitness center and a new ground
floor Stephen Starr French bistro called Parc.
While these developments have been a great addition to Allan Domb Real Estate, the
backbone of its business continues to be the resales of existing condominiums in
Center City.
