The larger, more casual sibling of super-swanky Vetri has been lauded left and right for its magnificent thin-crust pizzas, homemade pastas and earthy dishes like rabbit casalinga and rightfully so--in a town filled to the brim with Italian restaurants, there's nothing else quite like it. The food isn't the only remarkable thing about Osteria--owners Marc Vetri and Jeff Benjamin have also pushed the envelope on location (at least for this sort of dining experience). The restaurant sits on a lonely stretch of North Broad Street and pairs an industrial aesthetic--exposed ductwork, high ceilings, big windows--with warm colors and textures that evoke a Tuscan sensibility.
