McNally's Tavern
Nestled in Germantown behind easy-to-overlook signage, McNally's Tavern is home to one of Philly's finest sandwiches: the Schmitter. A modified cheesesteak, the Schmitter is constructed on a Kaiser roll with layers of steak, cheese and onions with grilled salami, fresh tomatoes, special sauce and more cheese. The space is quiet, but friendly, and just dark enough that no one will see sauce dripping down your chin.
