Steaks on South

A new tradition has taken hold on South Street with the addition of Steaks on South. “Awesome” is the word on the street about Steaks on South, which won Channel 10 NBC’s “best cheesesteak in Philadelphia” contest. Hot sandwiches run the gamut from traditional cheese steaks and chicken steaks to grilled veggie offerings, including a savory broccoli rabe and portabello mushroom combination. Pizza, fries, and other items are also offered. Patrons can perch at the counter, sit at tables on the first floor, which is a welcoming open space, or go upstairs to a spacious room that boasts big picture windows overlooking South Street’s vibrant street life (perfect for large parties).
