“A classic oyster house--you don't want to miss! There's not too many family owned and operated restaurants in the city anymore, and this is one of them.
The best raw oysters in Philadelphia, 6 to 12 varieties to choose from daily and the best shucked oyster around! my favorite is the big boy--Long Island Salts.
It's a great place to stop on my way to or from any of Philadelphia's sport events since its located in South Philly just off of I-95...Don't miss their clammy hour Mon-Friday 4p to 6:30p or Sat & Sun. 2p to 4p for $1.99 domestic pints, $3.99 Clam Mary's, 50 cent raw or steamed clams, 75 cent raw or fried oysters, 35 cent you peel shrimp.
Hard shell crabs, scallops, mussels, 6 varieties of fish daily, and so much more I could go on and on. Lunch (sandwiches and platters), Early Birds, All You Can Eat Crabs, Dinner...if you want seafood at a great price this is the place!”
“Came to Philly last week and wanted a seafood dinner.
I must say I enjoyed the old restaurant atmosphere.
It was not phoney....not tick/tack chic....just what you would
expect at a place that is dedicated to seafood.
Service was outstanding....friendly atmosphere.
Food was great. Tons of Crabs, homemade cocktail sauce
not the dyed red stuff, great shrimp, and I had the lobster....
perfectly done...reasonable price for a pound lobster....steamed
perfectly. Sides were great.
I want real food when I go out.....this was real food, good prices,
friendly atmosphere....don't miss it...”
