Illuminare Italian Ristorante
Illuminare's Brick Oven Pizzeria and Italian Restaurant is located in the heart of the Fairmount neighborhood of Philadelphia. Opened in 2001, Illuminare, which means to furnish with light, is known for its quality food, friendly service, relaxed ambiance, elegant décor, hand crafted wood work and beautiful array of lights. A family owned business, voted best brick oven pizza and "One of the city's prettiest dining spaces," Illuminare lives up to its name. It certainly flourishes with light from the gas burning lantern outside to the multitude of art deco lighting inside. Illuminare's offers lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch, broadcasting the Eagles games on a big screen projector, private parties and corporate catering. The restaurant has gourmet brick oven pizza, focaccia bread, sandwiches, homemade soups, healthy salads, fresh seafood, steaks, homemade pastas and desserts.
