PW'S PEEK INTO CELEBRITY BELLIES
It's unlikely anyone has ever confused these two redheads before. One sings and cooks before a Philly audience; the other lobbies before the Philly government. But when it comes to their stomachs, they're not all that different. Which might help explain why we ran the wrong photo in this space last week.

"Like most Italian women, I don't eat what I cook." So claimed thespian-chef Jilline Ringle on the day Mondo Mangia, her self-produced show, opened at the Adrienne theater. Though she prepared pasta with sausage and broccoli rabe to feed her audience as she told them family stories and serenaded them in Italian, she defaulted to tradition by saving the feast for her fans. When we reached Ringle, her stomach was filled with nothing more than coffee and whole milk. And maybe a few butterflies.

PennPIRG (Public Interest Research Group) advocate Beth McConnell is trying to make Philadelphia clean and green by urging SEPTA to retire its diesel buses. She's also working to persuade the mayor to prevent our tax dollars from funding new stadiums. So what environmentally friendly comestibles could be found in her stomach? A piece of cran-walnut bread from Le Bus and home-brewed 8 O'Clock Bean coffee sweetened with Sugar in the Raw.
