Vegan Pizza Day

Vegan pizza is a delicious minority in the culinary world. So why not devote an entire day to praising a specific variation on the usual pie? Vegan Pizza Day promises to do just that. While anyone is encouraged to observe the fledgling holiday by merely making a dairy-free and meatless dish of their own, specialty pizza shops across the country will be celebrating it. Among these fine eateries is Philadelphia’s Blackbird Pizzeria, where cholesterol-free pie-lovers are welcome to commemorate the holiday. The local vegan pizza parlor will feature a special completely vegan buffalo wing pie for the day. It sounds like a cheesy stunt, but don’t worry: it isn’t. -Ashley Kole
