Three Days of Rain

Richard Greenberg's Three Days of Rain takes place in two time periods: 1995 and 1960. In Act I, a brother and sister, Walker and Nan (along with their old friend Pip), gather to hear the reading of their father's will. Their father--in partnership with Pip's father--was a world famous architect, creator of some of the 20th century's best-known buildings. Along the way, they discover a journal kept by Walker/Nan's father and begin to piece together the story of their parents' relationships and work. Act II takes us back to 1960, and the three actors play their parents at the same age. As the relationships develop and events unfold, we come to discover just how much truth--or lack thereof--lies behind their children's views of them. It's a fascinating tale of parents and children, art and love, expectations and reality, alternately hilarious and touching, told with the signature humor of Richard Greenberg.
