The Whitest Kids U’ Know
After forming in 2000, the five-man sketch comedy group The Whitest Kids U’ Know has become The Kids In The Hall of the iPod generation. After performing around New York after graduating college, the troupe sold their own sketch show to cable network Fuse in 2006. The first season was an underground hit, but after disagreements about content censorship, the show moved to competing channel IFC, where it aired four more seasons, ending its run last year. Though it featured the crude humor that young people oh so crave, the show could still be whip-smart, often blending in the stupidity of our culture with the quaint days of yore. In perhaps the show’s best moment, the group tells the real story of the Lincoln assassination at Ford’s Theatre—the president wasn’t murdered over political disagreements, but because Abe was loud and obnoxious during the play, telling John Wilkes Booth to “Suck my presidential cock, bitch!” -Bryan Bierman
