Asian American Film Festival

If your Asian-American film experience has been limited to Lucy Liu’s performance in Charlie’s Angels, you have so much more to see. This year, HBO is hosting the Asian American Film Festival, the first of its kind in Philly. There will be various free film screenings taking place during the week, as well as the opportunity to meet with some of the filmmakers and ask them questions. Prepare to see familiar faces like Samantha Streets from CSI: Miami, Kelly Hu from X-Men 2 and to Brian Tee from The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, in addition to bright casts of less-known and up-and-coming actors. -Trishula Patel
