Koi Kites

Media Title

Kids and families can join in this drop-in workshop anytime between 1:00 and 4:00 pm. Just in time for the Subaru Cherry Blossom Festival of Greater Philadelphia, the Penn Museum invites you to celebrate Japanese culture with an afternoon of crafting. Koi kites are a popular ornament in Japan, where they symbolize the hope for strength and courage of children. Families can work together to craft a kite, and draw inspiration from the koi pond in the Museum’s Warden Garden.
