Nature Prescription: The Third Annual Richard L. James Lecture

Obesity, diabetes, anxiety, ADHD: wouldn’t it be great if there was one medical intervention that would prevent or treat all of these? A growing body of research indicates that there may be such an intervention: nature.  Dr. Michael Suk, chief of orthopedic surgery with the Geisinger Health System and the White House Fellow leading the National Park Service’s Park Prescription program, shares how green space will play an important role in the future of health care.  In addition, Director of Education Gail Farmer unveils the Center’s full slate of Health and Wellness programs, the newest branch in our richly blossoming programing tree.
