Sustainable Seas: Vision and Reality

Media Title

Once thought to be “too big to fail,” the ocean is in trouble. Ocean and coastal ecosystems account for some two-thirds of the world’s natural capital, including 1/2 the oxygen we breathe, carbon sinks for climate regulation, food, and more. Dr. Sylvia Earle, famed oceanographer, deep-sea explorer and conservationist, will look at the past, present and future of the ocean. Winner of the 2009 Ted Prize, “Her Deepness” will discuss important actions needed to reverse the decline of our seas.
