HIAS PA and the Penn Law Immigrants Rights Project are proud to host "De Novo," written and directed by Jeffery Solomon and put on by Houses on the Moon. It follows the story of a Guatemalan boy who came to the US in search of his mother and escape from the gang in his hometown. Shortly after arriving, Edgar is caught by US immigration authorities. Written entirely from trial transcripts, interviews and legal documents, "De Novo" shows the flaws in our current immigration legal system.
