Diali Cissokho & Kaira Ba combines traditional African kora with American jazz and blues to create irresistible dance grooves in a captivating performance. The band features Senegalese griot Diali Keba Cissokho – a vocalist, percussionist, dancer, and master of the 21-string African ‘kora,’ who hails from a famed lineage of musicians traceable back to the 14th century in his native West Africa. Kaira Ba also includes four North Carolina-raised musicians who bring a distinctly Southern influence
