Sudanese Contemporary Painting
Opening: Friday, 2/8, 5:30 - 8:30 Over 45 paintings and mixed media works from the 1990s are on display. These works of exquisite craftsmanship and sophistication, coming from artists some of whom have by now achieved international fame, were banned from display in Sudan at the time, due to their controversial, "unsanctioned" message.
