Various artists: "Sixteenth Annual Student Exhibition"
Enjoy the best student work from the last year, created by students in the Delaware College of Art and Design Associate of Fine Arts Degree Program, in the Sixteenth Annual Student Show. The exhibition opens February 1 with a reception from 5 – 8 p.m. Selected by studio faculty, the work represents a variety of assignments and media from each of DCAD’s six majors – animation, fine arts, graphic design, illustration, interior design and photography. The exhibition will come down February 22. Gallery hours are Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The gallery is always free and open to the public. DCAD is Delaware’s first and only professional art and design school. The College offers the Associate of Fine Arts Degree in Animation, Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Illustration, Interior Design and Photography. DCAD was founded in 1997 as a collaborative effort between two of America’s most distinguished art schools, Pratt Institute and the Corcoran College of Art + Design. In its first year of operation, DCAD enrolled 50 full-time degree students. The school, now independent, enrolls more than 200 full-time students.
