The Taxi Tapes
A man, a taxi cab, and a dream. Comedian Sam Dingman weaves personal tales with revealing audio recordings from his days driving a New York City taxi. On stage, with a computer and a beer at his side, Sam plays these random solo ruminations and conversations with anonymous passengers. They accompany, interrupt, and counter his stories, creating an intimate and imperfect portrait of a person trying to find his way.
