Kate Bright: "In Deep"
For her third exhibition at Locks Gallery, British artist Kate Bright presents a new series of paintings that take their cue from varying reflections on water pools, only to crystallize a feeling of awe, and tend towards abstraction. The reflections, and the distortions transform the closely cropped details of the water surface into disparate compositions, with moods ranging from glamorous swimming pool blues, to dark hues of ochre, and charcoal.
