April Harrison: This is My Song
Opening reception will take place Saturday, June 2, 6-8 PM. Gallery is open Wednesday - Saturday, 11 AM - 6 PM. April Harrison is a contemporary folk artist from Greenville, SC. A professional painter since 1991, Harrison paints images primarily in acrylics, powders, watercolors, pencils and collage. Harrison’s work has been exhibited nationally, including the International Art Expo in New York, International Visions - The Gallery in Washington, DC, and the Morris Museum of Art in Georgia. She can also be found in private and public collections including those of Whoopi Goldberg, Tonya Pinkins, and Andrew Young as well as universities, corporations and medical centers. Harrison has appeared numerous times in the media, among them Essence magazine, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, BET’s 106 & Park, PBS and this month, Professional Artist Magazine.
