We love beer. That's why we're devoting an entire year to discovering (and drinking) cold ones from near and far. Know of a beer worth shouting out? Send us a note at

Easton, PA’s Weyerbacher has been making this beer for some time, you just might not recognize it thanks to a name change. Formerly known as Blanche, White Sun is a Belgian-style witbier – and there are few better times of the year for a wit than summer. This pale beer pours with a frothy white head and gives off aromas of orange peel and hints of banana. Mild spices accent the taste—black pepper, grains of paradise and a slight suggestion of cardamom—but the operative word here is “mild.” This is a light, easy-drinking beer that seems designed to be quaffed on blazing hot summer days, with low-impact flavor and a refreshing tang in the finish.  You can see if it succeeds in that task at Perch Pub, Sidecar and Bourbon & Branch.
